The Lord's Purpose

This verse has meant a lot to me over the last few weeks as I contemplate the future.  Because of this verse I can rest in the fact that no matter what, God's way will prevail, and I know that His way is good.

Ministry Update:
This last month and a half in Kenya has been important as I have taken time to rest and seek God.  As many of you know I came to the AIM Guest house in Kenya to rest after a stressful March and beginning of April.  After a few weeks of good sleep I was able to meet with the AIM leaders who were in Kenya for a conference.  I requested another teammate in Toliara to compensate for the loss of team last October.  Unfortunately, it would not be possible to get another teammate to Toliara before my leaders leave in December.  As a result, my options included staying in Toliara by myself after December or transferring to another assignment.  After looking at the other assignments in Madagascar there was not a good fit for my skills and abilities.  With the help of AIM I was led to look at a music position at the AIM boarding school in Kijabi, Kenya.  It has been a hard month as I have processed leaving my first assignment and taking on another, but I truly see God's hand through it all.

For such a time as this…
I’m excited to announce that I was offered a position at Rift Valley Academy starting in August.  I will be teaching music at the AIM, K-12, boarding school alongside the other music director.  My hope is to come back to the States in July after finishing out my assignment in Madagascar this June.  As I mentioned above this is a change in assignment, but I feel like this is God’s direction and a good next step.

What's the Mada:

*Continue to pray for the Holy Sipirit to stir the hearts of those in Toliara that they may turn from the ancestors to Jesus.
*Pray for smooth transitions as I pack up in Toliara and prepare to visit the States this summer.

Looking ahead:
I would like to hear your thoughts, as my supports, as a result of this change in assignment.  There is a difference in economies between Madagascar and Kenya.  Therefore, my monthly salary need will increase by $110.  Thankfully, this is not a large difference from the $800 salary needed in Madagascar.  If you are not already giving monthly and feel led to support me as I teach the children of missionaries serving throughout Africa, please follow the directions on the AIM website: http://us.aimint.org/give/  Similarly, for those of you who are already giving monthly, I understand that you have been supporting my ministry in Madagascar.  I would love for you to continue with me as I serve at Rift Valley, but I understand if that is not a possibility.  Please let me know your thoughts.

Face - to - Face:
In preparation for my next assignment, my hope is to return to the US for the month of July to pick up my music resources and get my “teacher clothes.”  I also look forward to holding my new niece!  I would also love to see you all if possible.  My family will be planning a bonfire at our house in late July.  Look for more info to come.  Finally, due to the change in assignment, there are a few more flights than originally planned.  If you feel led to contribute to this need, it would be a huge blessing.  Visit the AIM website to make a donation:  http://us.aimint.org/give/

Blessings,

Bethany Corin Morris
