We reunited with the people of Ankalika for the story of the consequences of the fall. Kara shared how the fall changed all of our relationships. Then, giving the church members the opportunity to practice leading the drummer took over and did an amazing job. Next, his sister read the story in their own language and the grandma asked the group the challenging questions.
It was exciting to hear one man recount the story of his own fall as he remembered a time when he was drowning in a river. He told God if God helped he would follow Him. The man explained that drowning in the river was the same as the sin of Adam and Eve. He needed to repent as we do because of our sin. Pete brought up the idea of living as more than a Sunday Christian and the same man said that it doesn't make sense to give $1 to the church on Sunday and then $100 to the witch doctor on Monday. Pray that these thoughts would be more than words.
Pray for these two they seemed to be distracted this week. The man (pastor) called off last week's stories and was very distracted this week. She (not family, just happened to be sharing a Bible at that moment) seemed really closed off this week.
