What's Old is New Again

Sometimes when I thrift I don't try things on.  I just get excited and buy things.  Unfortunately, that's what I did with this next top.  I don't know what I was thinking because it was a little out of fashion and young looking.  Since I had already payed for it and it was sitting in my closet I thought I would try to fix it.

Step 1: I took the pieces apart with a seam ripper

 Step 2: Cut the elastic off.  

Step 3:  Pin

Step 4:  Sew.  I added a zigzag seam on the edge to re-enforce.   

It turned out alright.  Not sure it's better or worse, but at least I tried.   

Just for fun I put the extra elastic on as a headband.
