January

What are your favorite moments so far this year?  I would love to hear about them.

The new term always starts out being very full.  With new voice students, "Titchie Praise Team" practices, getting ready for parents weekend and of course choir tour.  Looking back here are some of the highlights.

  1. Listening to Jo-el (our Kenyan instrument repairmen) share about leading worship music with the choir.
  2. When the third and fourth graders sang "How Great Thou Art" in Swahili for our beloved Kenyan custodian.
  3. Watching the first and second graders do an arabesque in sync while listening to "Trepka" from "The Nutcracker."
  4. Smiling while the third and fourth graders enjoyed playing the kazoos as they prepared for their parents to come to visit our class.
  5. When one of my 2nd grade Kenyan students sang the Kenyan National Anthem to help me during a Friday chapel.  Such a cutie.
  6. Marveling at the creative moments of the fifth and sixth graders as they made up rhythms using household items.
  7. When God surprised me with the last concert for tour.
So how about you?  What has made you smile so far this year?
