Choir Devo - "Remember Christmas"

Is it ever "too early" to think about Jesus coming to earth, coming into our brokenness with a plan to save us and provide a way for us to be in a right relationship with God?  I am asking my students to "Remember Christmas" as we work on Christmas songs for our program in November.  With that, I am also asking them to point others to "Remember Christmas" as they write an essay presenting one of the songs we will sing.

So, let's remember Christmas together.  For many that means remembering snow, putting up a Christmas tree, listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies, gathering with family, opening presents, and spending time celebrating Jesus coming to earth for our sake.

Let's think back to the first Christmas.  Jesus was born in a manger.  All of God was a baby.  Angels came, they sang "Glory to God" and reminded us of peace through Jesus.  Wisemen saw a special star and followed it to worship the answer to God's prophecies, the answer to our brokenness.

It's always time to "Remember Christmas" to think about Jesus, to talk about Him with others just as we talk about our memories of Christmas traditions.  May we "Remember Christmas" each day as we remember our God's love for us and His plan to take care of us.
