Mutlicultural Day - Flag Raising
On Mashujaa Day here in Kenya we celebrate by throw a Multiculural Day every year to rejoice in the many cultures on campus. It's so much fun!
This year we started out with our flag ceremony. The kids dress us in their cultural garb and a representative is elected to carry the flag from their county. This year I noticed that students stood up for the countries their families serve in along with celebrating their home countries. It was awesome to see everyone stand up to celebrate Kenya our current home. Even as I hollered for U.S.A. my heart knows my home is not there, it's really in Heaven.
