Commit Your Ways to the Lord

Each year I have seen how God has put the new choir together and this year is no different. As we have come together the last two days there is much excitement to be together and the excitement of the possibility of making music together.  There is also fear as many know they have much to learn when it comes to reading notes.  With the work of learning notes I know the kids are also afraid that  it won't be fun in the processes.

I have been thankful for the attitudes of the students the last two days as they have tried to learn the new songs in front of them, but I also know it is important to just enjoy singing together.  My prayer for today is that God will give us those moments of fun together in the midst of learning notes.  He knows what we need, and so I trust Him and look forward to how He will take care of this group.  Just as has He has hand selected each person to be in the group I know He take care of student in the group.

As we start class today we will sing the song "Only King Forever."  Lord, I pray our words and voices will come together in joy as we sing out to the You whom we trust and knowing you have it all under control for our good and You glory.
