22 Things I accomplished over VAC

The schedule here is unlike any other.  We all go "full out" for three months with a hard stop for one month.  I was chatting about it with another staff member who said we do all our resting during the one month we have off in order to give everything during the three months we work.  I'm not great at resting for one full month so I try to include a few projects to look forward to each day.  These projects include things for fun and things for the coming term.  With a few days left before the new term starts I am feeling accomplished...

1.  Made Apple Sauce from scratch

2.  Moved the instruments I found into the Titchie Music Room

3.  Soaked my own chickpeas and made hummus from scratch

4.  Found the bridge down old Kajabi Road - 2.5 hours total

5.  Listened to the missionary story "Miracle on Voodoo Mountain"
(a great account of God's work for the restivics of Haiti)

6.  Put away all the old music in the choir music library (including music from previous directors).

7.  "Deep cleaned" my house

8.  Thinned out papers and left over items in the Titchie Music Room, Music Building, and Piano Buildings

9.  Tailored a shirt and a pair of pants

10.  Started a personal study on sound equipment

11.  Collected the props for the Titchie Musical

14.  Visited Ubuntu for the first time (see previous post entitled Ubuntu Made)

15.  Hung out with the kids at Naomi's Village for the first time (see previous post entitled #NaomisVillage).

16.  Took inventory of the Titchie Music Curriculum

17.  Made cookies for the guards that take care of our campus.

18.  Finished my first quilt

19.  Organized the Titchie Musicals and Recorder Materials.

20.  Sewed a shirt from a pattern I borrowed from someone on campus

21.  Joined the run/walk club and am now up to 4 miles.

22. Finalized vocal details for the High School Musical.
