Traveling for Christmas - Day 6 - Florence

I was pretty sleepy by the afternoon of the sixth day, but I managed to use my map and find the places that were circled by our host.  It was the second church that shocked me. 

At first I was confused because there were two buildings that looked different, but the more I stared at the cathedral I realized they were one and the same. 

 Even with the rain I loved circling the massive structure. 

With it's green tiling I was awestruck. It was huge.  The dome towered overhead and I could hardly get enough.

Intent of coffee I found a tiny little shop and enjoyed my new favorite "cafe latte"

With renewed energy I took in the colorful cathedral one last time and then headed to the next stop...
