Moments of worship

I have been contemplating the idea of moments of worship.  Over the last few weeks there have been several moments in songs that have hit me, made me think and stuck with me.

There was the moments of worship at the third term concert when the band was playing and the words of the song projected on the screen flowed together powerfully.

Then, there was the worship at conference as we sang the song "There is a fountain."  I was hit by the phrase "Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die."

"All I have is Christ, Jesus is my life." were the words that really challenged me this morning.  It reminded me of a few other powerful songs including, "Christ is enough for me."  I also thought of the song from my grandpa's funeral, "No one ever cared for me like Jesus."

Together these songs reminded me of two very important points in my life.  The first was when God imparted upon my heart that if I had him I would have enough.  I remember clearly the whisper from Him saying, "I love you and that is more than enough."  The second time the message came through clearly was when I was transitioning from Mada to RVA.  God showed me I could trust Him, that He had an even greater plan that was great.  No matter where he takes me I know I can trust that He sees the bigger picture and that it will be great.

These moments, whether in music or in whispers to the heart are ones I need to here, hang onto and live by.
