Kazuri Beads
I took a day off campus and visited Kazuri Beads in Nairobi. It was fascinating to learn about the process of making the clay, forming the beads and then painting and curing them.
Once they have the correct clay consistency, they squeeze out the water.
These beads are made by pressing them into a mold.
This lady has been working for 30 years. The detail work is amazing.
