RVA Parts and Prayer Points

Just like anywhere, there are things about RVA that are unique to here.  Above are curtain hooks.  If you want to hang curtains you will need these.  Comment if you have ever used these...

Another part of RVA is the band tour.  You may remember that the band had to come home from their tour a few weeks ago due to illness.  They are going to try again and head to two of the schools on their schedule this Sunday, June 11th.  Pray for the music and the message.

As the Seniors finish their time at RVA they only have two weeks left of class, followed by a week of Safari and then prep. for graduation.  As senior-itis sets in some have neglected their homework completely.  Some are making bad choices and complaining about what they can't do, with the attitude that asks, "How far can we go while still being Christians."  This is a scary line of thinking as they head into the "real world."  Pray that they will look at the teachers they admire on campus and see why living differently means so much.

Part 2:
After writing the above, one of my choir seniors shared the following challenge in his devotional during Friday's choir rehearsal.  As a senior finishing his time at RVA he thought back to how previous year's seniors left RVA.  It challenged him to do his best and not slack off, leaving a legacy for those coming after him.  He shared the importance of doing our best for the Lord.  It was wonderful to hear a senior who desire to do the right thing, but more than that, to challenge others to do well too, especially after hearing the attitude that some seniors are taking.   God is working and I'm glad I get to see it.
