Sit
The aspect of sitting has been on my mind lately. As I have mentioned before, I enjoying going to praise chapel on Tuesday and just sitting as I listen to the praise music, letting them rest on me and come from my mind and heart. Similarly, I enjoy sitting to rest in the evenings after a days work, and as I mentioned in my previous post I miss sitting at a cafe to work while surrounded by people.
There is something important about sitting and resting. As I day dreamed about sitting at a cafe I found myself envisioning myself doing just that at a cafe around the world as I scrolled Instagram.
Similarly, I wanted to take the aspect of sitting, something I relish, and look at how the Bible talks about it. Here's what I found...
...and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with him in the heavenly realms—all because of what Christ Jesus did.
Luke 14:33
So no one can become my disciple unless he first sits down and counts his blessings—and then renounces them all for me.
I was a little taken aback by this one as I know I've done a little longing for comforts this past week. It's true, sometimes God calls us to give up blessings to do the work He has for us.
Psalm 47:8 God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne. This one encouraged me, reminding me that God has everything in hand.
Here's to more sitting in a wonderful way.

2 Samuel 7:18 Then David the king went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, "Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far? This verse challenged me even more as I head to praise chapel each week.
