God's Will
Yesterday one of the new RVA teachers took the opportunity to be vulnerable and shared a bit of his story in Chapel yesterday.
He explained that there are days when you ask God, "why am I here?" Heading into a story he told of a time when one of his golf students had ripped a tendin in his hand and was out for the season. On a day when the team was practicing he and the student rode around in the golf cart watching the payers and chatting. The teacher asked the student about the struggle of not playing and the student agreed that it was easy to ask God "why." What shocked the teacher was what the student did next. He got out of the cart and brought water to one of the other players. Now, this may not seem like that big of a deal, but the wisdom behind it was what hit the teacher and now sits on my heart. God doesn't always tell us the BIG why, He just says to love. We always have a purpose, and that purpose is to love those around us.
I pray thanking God that He fills me up on those hard days so that we can just love.
"We love, because He first loved us," and you know as well as I do that if it weren't for His love first most of the time I wouldn't love others.
Lord, thank you for the purpose you give us, to show You though love and thank you for Your love first.
