7 Fun Facts about Giraffes

I was treated to a visit to the Giraffe farm today by some short-termers.  I have always thought Giraffes where cool with their height and long necks, but after today I know only my God would have created them.  

 I don’t even know where to start….

7 of my favorite facts about Giraffes:

1.       They only sleep 30 minutes out of each day. 

2.       They eat the rest of the time.    

3.       Their saliva is an antiseptic because their favorite tree is full of thorns, so ask they eat the thorns their months are being healed at the same time.

4.       They never drink water but they don’t need to because they get water from the leaves they eat.

5.       They chew their cud like cows

6.       Their hearts are 1-2 feet in length

7.       They have the same number of teeth as we do.  

I always knew I was a giraffe!!! ;)
