Vokatra

I figured it out:

Every once in a while a big semi-truck would park down the alley from my house and unload baskets of hay into an enclosed yard.  Since I really never saw anyone selling hay I figured people bough it from this once place to use for their cooking.  Finally, early one morning as the shops were setting up and unloading their product and I got it.  The baskets are not full of hay, they are lined with hay and full of produce.  The hay protects the fruit and vegetables.  The merchants buy the baskets full of produce from the yard and then sell the products in their stands.  It's quite fun to watch them weigh each basket for sale and then lift it on to their backs to load.  Can you picture a pous loaded down with these baskets for transport?

I had been told that new produce comes on Mondays and Thursdays which now fits with the days the truck is blocking the alley.

It only took me four weeks...
