Psalm 100
Recently, I sensed a bit of complacency in my worship. I hadn't taken the time to connect with the words, as I should, to fully praise God. This morning I had the opportunity to sing in our church's choir as my mom's guest. It was just the change of pace that I needed to enliven my heart.
I was struck by these words and hope you can worship God in the reading of them:
"Lead on, O King Eternal. We follow, not with fear...
Thy cross is lifted o'er us; we journey in its light."
We ended by singing the refrain of "There is a Redeemer" and it so perfectly echos my heart:
Thank you, O my Father, for giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit till the work on earth is done.
A change of perspective in worship can be a great way to rejuvenate your praise and I hope you try it sometime.
