Onward and Forward

Onward Christian Soldier Our team has changed some over the last few months. Rachel will no longer be joining our group as she is following God's leading into marriage instead.  Sam and Ashley Barnhill along with Robert McGuire and Sandra Hiebert have made it to Toliara safely and are working on their orientation into the country.  Over the next 5 months they will be studying the language and getting to know the community while starting to work with organizations partnering with the youth of Toliara.  Lacey Jo Cunningham and I will be joining towards the end of July, Lord willing, and we will all begin working with the church to develop a Bible curriculum for youth.  We hope to be joined by another gentleman, but are still waiting to hear.

Forward God has provided me with a full time aiding position for the spring as I continue to plan toward heading to Madagascar in July.  I am working at Winfield Central School helping a 10-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who was recently adopted from Haiti. The staff members at the school are wonderful, and along with being 10 minutes from where I live and having great hours, I am blessed to be able to work with this little boy. Please pray for wisdom on how to encourage him toward focus and learning and that I would be a light in the school. I am trying to sort out some health issues.  I have been having dizzy spells, and periodically have experienced chest pain.  After several tests it appears the chest pain was not serious, but rather a result of being overtired. I am looking forward to another doctor visit this week in the hope of getting to the real issue so I can move towards better health.  I would love your prayers to that end.
