Mercy Ships

I was excited to hear that Mercy Ships was porting in Madagascar this year.  It points to God's great plan for Madagascar.  They will be docked in Tamatave from October 2014 to June 2015

Antananarivo (where I was) to Tamatave

If you are not familiar with Mercy Ships it is
"a sailing hospital [and] a vessel of hope"
"The ships are state-of-the-art facilities that offer clean water, reliable electricity and care centers because more than 75%of the world's population lives within 100 miles of a port city, we're able to sail a modern hospital ship with a crew of 450 volunteers directly to people who lack access to first rate medical care."

It turns out that Mr. Hery the head of the Alpha school where I taught, his son Aina, his nephew (not pictured) and the new English teacher (between them below) are helping.

Here is what Aina said about Mercy Ships, "We appreciate what Mercy Ships has been doing in this nation! Bringing hope and healing for Malagasy people.  It will change and improve us.  That's how God works.  Sometimes we go through ordeals but it will never sap us it will even progress."

I continue to be impressed with Mr. Hery's heart
and how God is using Him for the kingdom.

James 2:14
If a brother is poorly clothed and lacking daily food, and one of your says to them,"Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?"
