Phones

My poor American phone is so bad.  I have had it for 7 years and it is so cracked I can't read my texts anymore.  When I found out it would have to be unlocked to work here in Madagascar I elected to get a new one while here. Now that I have figured it out it is the perfect phone for me.  It has a calculator, a flashlight, and a talking clock.  It was working fine until one day I couldn't text or call on it.  I kept getting a "failure to send" message. Now, when your phone is your only connection to the other people here when you are traveling by bus for an hour and a half it is important to having a working phone.  Thankfully, the people here are very helpful even though I can't really speak their language.  As long as I know the name of the place I am going they will point me in the right direction.  It also helps when you put "credit" on your phone, that way you can actually call out on it.  LOL.  I'm glad I know now.
