Accessorizing

Go to a wedding can be expensive.  If you're really close to the bride there are usually two showers and now-a-days going to a wedding is like going to prom all over again.  Putting together your outfit, finding a plus-one, picking the chicken or stake, not to mention the wedding gift, can be time consuming.  The good news is, if you're like me you probably have the accessorizes you need already in your jewelry box and closet.  If not, a few basic items that can work for everything are important investments.

As I was taught while standing on my feet all day working at VonMaur, when putting together an outfit, start with sensible shoes.  That fabulous advice applies for a wedding too.  If there is dancing, and their usually is, wear a pair of shoes that won't hurt your feet or, like I often do, bring a pair of sandals to change into.  

After the shoes don't forget to pick a clutch that will fit your phone, camera, lip gloss, mints, license, and money while still matching your shoes and outfit.  That may sound difficult, but really it's all about the basics.  Before you even buy a clutch think about your shoes and make sure you can use it again.

Bracelets, Rings, Necklace, Earrings, Belt, and Hair Clips are also important accessorizes to consider.

Last but not least, remember to grab a cardigan just in case.  You can store it with the sensible sandals you will also bring just in case.

Don't forget to have fun, that's what people remember more than what you wore.
