That's Clutch
I was about to get rid of belt and thought, "I wish I could do something with that belt since it's cute but just not right as a belt." With that came the inspiration for a clutch. If I needed more clutches I would be obsessed with renewing belts, but for now one belt clutch is enough. I wish I could leave steps on how I made it but it was one of those "figure it out as I go" projects. I'm excited with how it turned out.
In hind sight, here is how I made it: Basically, I opened one side of the belt, cut it into three parts, sewed the sections together, added a zipper to the top and sewed the bottom and sides.

While we are on the subject of clutches I ended up sewing a second clutch using my favorite materials. Clutches are hard if you don't have thick enough material. I think I may be done with them for a while, but I had to use the purple and the black script material. This was another one without a tutorial. It took me a while to get it right, but it was fun to work it out.
Nice work! Is the belt clutch brown or black? I love the shoes with it...they are amazing. I am guessing you purposefully added the three seems that are visible sticking out. It's a fun touch!
